$250,000 Jury Verdict for Brian H. Herschfus

In a slip and fall case, the client was outside a business on a sunny day and entered to refill her entertainment card. Upon stepping inside the dimly lit establishment, she tripped over rolled-up rugs that had fallen onto the floor.

The fall caused her to break her wrist and both elbows, and it aggravated a pre-existing rotator cuff injury that had not been bothering her prior to the incident.

The defendants’ highest settlement offer was $100,000, but the jury awarded the client $200,000, along with an additional $50,000 for her husband.
